Welcome 2011! Another year is upon us and I am reminded of how necessary it is to slough off the weight of the previous year and move on. Despite all the hardships I endured in 2010, I feel elated and so fortunate to have so much love in my life. It always feels like such an amazing privilege to have the people you care about all in one place, it's difficult not to get overly sentimental. It's bewildering to me sometimes...I actually have friends in my life that I care about and without an ounce of trepidation I wish every imaginable happiness might befall them. New York has been very good to me in that way, all my life prior I only had friends that by some measurement would suck on one level or another. As groups of friends converge and acquaint you begin to see the common thread that runs through all of them. The loom of a good heart weaves the same honorable, heartfelt characteristics. This gives me a vast sense of fulfillment. As the saying goes, you are only as good as the company you keep...and my company has turned out to be pretty darn awesome.

I am teeming with excitement for our next adventure with each other. For 5 days in February we will all meet again in Park City Utah for our annual ski house trip. I cannot express my anticipation to be amongst all the friends that have moved away from New York and in such a scenic, picturesque setting. 2011 is already off to an amazing start and promises to bring with it a new chapter of fortuitous and formulated changes.
